Question by greenbean: What are the possible reasons and solutions for a low speed (<5 mph) vibration I am feeling in my truck?
So I am feeling a very small vibration when I am accelerating from a stop or just simply backing up out of the driveway. It goes away after I am going over 5 mph. Is is just because its an aggressive mud tire and I am used to a stock all terrain that was very smooth. Is the larger diameter tire causing the transmission to slightly vibrate at this low speed? Stock tire was 32.1 inches. New tire is 33 inches diameter and is also 1.5 inches wider. The wheel and tire has been balanced. Should I get it re-balanced? Should I get a tuner to calibrate the PCM to the new tire diameter so the tranny doesn’t struggle. Thanks.
